Privacy policy

For us, data protection, meaning the protection of your identity and personal data in dealing with our website is a very important topic. In general, we do not access any personal data without your consent, only technical data that is necessary for the correct display and operation of our website.

When you visit our site for the first time, you can consent (or decline) to the use of your data (anonymized) to analyze page views. Here you can change your decision.

General Information

When you browse the Internet, data such as the name and version of your browser, operating system or the date and time of your visit is constantly requested. This information is anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. Without this technically necessary information, no website would work, not even ours. Therefore, this technical data is collected by our IT system as soon as you visit our website. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Other, personal data such as your name, address or telephone number, through which we can identify you personally, will not be tapped by us without your consent. If you provide us with this information about yourself, you do so completely consciously and intentionally, for example by using a contact form or by calling us. We therefore do not automatically collect your personal data, nor do we pass it on to third parties or sell it.

We do our best to collect as little data as possible and to protect your personal data. We have concluded a data processing contract with our provider, who hosts this website (i.e. stores it and makes it accessible to you), in which the handling of your data is regulated. In addition, the transmission of (confidential) data on this website is protected by SSL encryption. Despite our best efforts, we must point out that there may always be security gaps in data transmissions over the Internet, complete protection is unfortunately not possible.

Collection of general technical data on our website

For correct display and functioning, the following technical data is automatically collected and stored in the server log files when our website is accessed:

This technical data is stored separately from your personal data by our provider, with whom we have concluded a data processing contract. Your browser automatically transmits this data to our and the vast majority of other websites on the Internet. Your data remains anonymous, we cannot draw any conclusions about your person from it.

We need this technical information in order to present you with an optimal user experience, to be able to display our website optimally on every browser and operating system, and to be able to count and analyze the page views of our website.

Handling personal data

We receive personal data, i.e. data such as your name, address, telephone number and so on, with which we can directly identify you as a person, only with your consent. This happens, for example, when you fill out a contact form or transmit your data to us by telephone. By this active transmission, you agree that we receive your personal data.

We do not pass on or sell your personal data to third parties without your consent and delete it again when we no longer need it, you cancel, your order has been completed or when you request it.

Your IP address, which is stored when you visit our site, is made unrecognizable on the server after one day and automatically deleted after 30 days. The server is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Your rights in dealing with your data

You have the right to control your data on the Internet through the GDPR. You have the right to know whether and how we process your data. Please refer to this privacy policy for the processing of technical data. If you want to know more about our handling of personal data (right to information), you can contact us at any time free of charge. We will then provide you with information about how we process your data, why we do this, to whom we transfer your data and how long we store your data.

We are obliged to obtain your consent if we request or require personal data from you. You can also visit this website without providing personal data. If you have consented to the transfer or use of personal data by us, you can revoke this consent at any time.

You have the right to change, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data collected by us. If you want to change your data or our handling of it, for example, no longer want to receive promotional emails or delete all your data (right to be forgotten), just let us know free of charge and informally by email or phone. If we have legitimate reasons for processing your data or for asserting, exercising or defending legal claims, we unfortunately cannot delete your data.

You also have the right to data portability. You can request that we hand over all data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or for the performance of a contract to you or a third party in a common, machine-readable format. You may also request the direct transfer of the data to a third party, insofar as this is technically feasible.

In the event of data protection violations, you can file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority at any time. In matters of data protection law, this is the state data protection commissioner of the respective federal state in which the company operating a website has its registered office.

Cookies

Our website, similar to the vast majority of other websites on the Internet, uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored in your browser. Each cookie contains a unique ID that allows our website to recognize your browser.

Cookies are necessary for the error-free functioning of our website and are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Some cookies are deleted as soon as you leave our website, others remain stored on your device. Cookies are needed, for example, for the shopping cart of an online store, for stored login data, for recognizing returning visitors, for forwarding and recognizing pages already visited, for forms, the cookie notice itself and many other functions of a website.

You can delete cookies from your browser at any time, please refer to the relevant documentation / instructions for your browser. You can also block all cookies automatically, but then some features of our website will not work.

Contact by e-mail and telephone

On our website you will find our e-mail address and telephone number for the purpose of contacting us. If you call us or write an e-mail, you automatically agree that we may receive and respond to your phone number or e-mail address. Your data will not be stored unnecessarily (only for the purpose of answering, calling you back or when a cooperation is established) and will not be sold or given to third parties.

Facebook

We have integrated Facebook on our website so that you can be informed about current posts and news. Facebook is a social network of the company Facebook, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. For our German and European site visitors, the company Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland is responsible for processing personal data.

When you visit our website or the corresponding sub-page on which a link to our Facebook page is integrated, you must first click on it in order to visit our Facebook page. By actively clicking on it, you agree that our Facebook page is loaded by your browser. By doing so, you will leave our website and Facebook's privacy policy will apply. You can find more information about Facebook's data policy here: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website to see how many page visitors our website has. Google Analytics is a service provided by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland). You must actively consent to the use of Google Analytics when you visit our site.

Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. small text files in your browser, to recognize from which website you visit us, which subpages you visit on our website and how long you stay there. Google Analytics also collects your IP address (anonymized), the location and time of your access to our website, and the name and version of your browser and operating system. This data is forwarded to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offering and its advertising.

Since we do our best to protect your data, we have activated IP anonymization. Thus, your IP address is shortened and anonymized within the EU before it is transferred to servers in the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the shortening only take place in the USA. Your anonymized IP address is required for the above-mentioned analysis of your user behavior on our website. Your anonymized IP address makes it impossible for Google to identify you as a person and your IP address is not merged with other data from Google. The collected data is automatically deleted after 2 months. You can find more information about Google's privacy policy here (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

For us, the use of Google Analytics is necessary because we need to know how many page visitors our website has and which subpages they are interested in for our internal evaluation and planning. We cannot see if and when you as a person visited our website, because the personal data is anonymized.

You can object to the use of Google Analytics on our website by not agreeing to it at the cookie banner, installing this browser plugin from Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or simply clicking on this link: Disable Google Analytics.

Google AdSense (Advertising on this website)

In order to finance the development and operation of our website, we need to display advertisements on our website. These advertisements are operated by the company Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland), which has the largest network of advertisers. The underlying advertising purpose is to be considered a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR.

Google's Doubleclick feature allows the company to track which ads you have clicked on and which ads you have already been shown. Google uses this data to optimize the future ads you will see on our and other websites. In the process, cookies are stored in your browser, which do not collect any personal data and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

Through the remarketing function, Google collects information via cookies about which websites you are visiting and which advertisements you click on. Based on this data, Google can show you advertisements that better match your interests. Your data is anonymized and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally.

If you do not want to see personalized advertising, you can disable it here (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated). You can disable Google's use of cookies via this browser plugin from Google (https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996). You can also completely disable cookies via your browser setting, but we strongly advise against it, because without cookies our website cannot be displayed and operated properly. If you have a Google account, you can also switch off personalized advertising in its settings. You can find more information about Google's privacy policy here (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
